Nineteen months.

It's amazing how fast you are growing. Today, you were like a little tornado, spinning from one place to another, causing a mess where ever you landed.

I watched you be loving to your doll this morning. You held her and patted her back and kissed her. You placed her in your high chair and fed her with a spoon and a glass jar. You called her 'baby' and baby talked to her :)

You also mimicked me cooking. I watched as you carefully set out different colored stacking cups and placed your beloved socks in them (taken from the sock drawer - your new favorite 'toy'). Used your wooden spoons to 'taste' and to serve to your 'babies' (stuffed animals).

I also caught you with your hand in the honey jar, like a little bear. You timidly sucked the honey off of one finger and then quickly jammed the whole hand in your mouth when you noticed me looking with my mouth open. Sneaky little bear. I couldn't do anything but laugh and grab a rag! Daddy now calls you our own little Winnie the Pooh.

You're growing so fast, and it's hard to keep up. I wanted to keep track of every moment in photographs and in journaling, and so far, I've only really kept up with the photos. The journaling stopped for the most part when you turned a year old and turned our lives upside down with your antics.

I loved walking into your bedroom tonight just to watch you sleep peacefully and to breathe in the sweet smell of your lotion. It always makes me remember back to when you were itty bitty and I cuddled with you all night long, watching your chest rise and fall and listening to your sleepy noises.

Slow down, little one.
